Colorful Densities
Hypothesis: We think the liquids will stack if put in the correct order.
Materials:
1. Graduated Cylinder 2. Measuring Cup 3. Water 4. Honey 5. Rubbing Alcohol 6. Dish Soap 7. Light Corn Syrup 8. Vegetable Oil 9. Food Coloring |
Safety Procedures1. After touching materials be sure to wash hands.
2. Have parental supervision during procedure. |
Procedure:1. Add food coloring of different colors to the water and rubbing alcohol.
2. Measure out 10ml of each liquid. 3.Slowly add 10ml of each liquid to a graduated cylinder. 4. See what happens. 5. Try adding them in different orders. Special Needs: None |
